Ah Meng`s death

When I first heard of Ah Meng`s death , I did not really remember who she was but then I realised that I have seen her many times before and even had a number of pictures taken with her. Then I felt sad becouse now that she was gone I would never have the chance to see her again.Although I realise Ah Meng was just an animal she was very special to me.

If I have to choose another animal to replace her, even though that would be a difficult task , I would choose the Seal lion. He has a winning personality and fills me with joy every time I watch his shaw.It is charming and entertaining .If anyone can do a good job atreplacing Ah Meng I am possitive it would be the Seal lion.

How would I spend $100 000 if I could not spend them on myself

I would spend the money on different things.I would like to donate a fraction of the money to some of the different charities suck as the homeless shelter, the children`s orphanage and others.I would like to do thet as i believe many of those people need the money way more than me and it wuold help them.I might spend the money on building something halpful for the comunity like a school or a library. The last fraction of the money I would like to give to my parents and to some of my relatives who might need it.If I have some spare money left I would like to give it to my friend so that she can come to Singapore to visit me.I know the last thing is a little selfish but i think it woul;d be a good experiance for her too. Well that is all...

The year of the rat!

My CNY holiday

My CNY holiday was very fun but at the same tima relaxing.Since I do not celebrate it as I am not chinese , I mostly hung out with my friends and my sister. On wednesday we were released from school early so I took the time to finish my homework and assigments. That way I had the next few days free to do whatever I pleased. On thursday night I was invited to a party in my friend` s house. His parents were otu for dinner that night so they were nice enought to allow us to have a ``small`` and ``quiet`` party in their two-storey mansion. It was a blast and before everyone went home we jumped in the pool to top of a truly fun night.I had to go home wet since the hair drier did not do much drying for me.
the next day I slept through breakfast and lunch, and pretty much spent the whole day lazing around at home.
The next two days were spent spending money which I had earned myself during the december holidays by doing some not-very-fun babysitting.Anyway,by sunday all my savings were gone and my closet door could not quite close...
On the whole, I had a good time!

Title: A Birthday Disaster (1)

It was the fourth of June and I woke up with a huge smile on my face. My birthday had finally arrived! I was to be fourteen and I was having a huge party. Everyone I was acquainted with was invited so I wanted everything to be impeccable.

A soon as I was up, my mother came running to me to wish me a great birthday. She congratulated me with a joyful hug and as the rest of my family joined her, I found myself juggling three enormous presents. Then, the smell of freshly baked muffins tantalised me into the kitchen for breakfast. Just as I was done pigging out, the doorbell rang and I ran to answer it. It was my friends Nichole and Vanessa. As I beckoned them inside I realized they were sniggering at my distasteful choice of orange top and red bottomed pajamas, which by the way I was still wearing. I had overlooked that little detail.

We spent the whole morning preparing for the special event. After that, I went to get ready and as I put the final touches to perfect my look, I stepped away from the mirror.

A while later, accompanied by my friends I made my way to the pool house where I was having my party. It was nicely-decorated with balloons and party poppers. The table was elegantly set with scrumptious-looking snacks, the music was just right and to top it all of there was even a disco ball. The weird thing was that even after thirteen years my stomach still did a somersault at the thought of all the presents.

Soon, the guests started arriving and everything was going to be perfect. Or so I thought. The party had barely started when we ran out of drinks and my precious ice-cream cake had started to melt. I wanted to burst into tears but I did not want to draw attention. Unfortunately it felt like humiliation was unavoidable, just as I was on my way to the shop for more drinks, a girl bumped into me and the piece of pizza she had been munching on landed on my outfit. She even had the nerve to walk away without apologizing to me.

My party went from impeccable to a complete disaster! I was so miserable that I just stood there not even daring to move. I looked around and realized that everyone else was having a blast. They did not care about the little details like the cake or the drinks they were just enjoying themselves. It was about time I did the same! So I joined them and ended up having a great time. It was not as enjoyable as I hoped but on the bright side I had another birthday coming up next year!
